I am truly upset at the Kennedys. |
|
LA Times had an article saying that Arnold will help campaign for Bush in the coming post convention campaign. And the Kennedy's into whose family Arhnold married, is okay with this? Have the Kennedy's given up on the standards they upheld and the ideas they put forth?

5. Maria is not a Republican, just married to one. |
|
Just like James Carville is not a Republican, just married to one. The entire Kennedy family is Democratic, except for in-law Arnold. Sargent Shriver and Eunice supported their daughter's husband and stood on the stage with him on election night. But, I guarantee you, they ain't gonna vote for Bush.
Hell, Arnold may not actually VOTE for him, either. He'll just mouth support. Arnold is a pro-choice Republican. He was elected on his name and fame only.

And since Maria is standing behind him as he ruins California, she is NOT a democrat.

22. What is she supposed to do? |
|
divorce him to stay in the Democratic Party? I am just wondering. It seems that her being in close with him can only help get some much needed input into Arnold. What's more important: 50 democrats protesting outside of his house, or one demcrat with one hand dwon his pants and the other one slapping some sense into him?
Just a thought...

I haven't heard people piling on James Carville for his Republican wife... what exactly is Maria supposed to do?
Now, personally, I couldn't have married someone whose politics are so far from my own, but it was her choice entirely.
I doubt very much that Arnold will suddenly expect her to follow his public support of Bush. I'm sure they expect to go their own ways on this one.

24. Not really - positions on issues are more important than party |
|
I suppose. I was just responding to the idea that there's something wrong with the Kennedy family b/c Arnold is a Republican. That's a bit of a stretch.

Damn that JFK and RFK. Just like Joseph, eh? I also blame the innocent children in Iraq. Little shitheads. But I will not think about holding bush responsible, or arnold, or republicans who pretend to be democrats.

Let's just say I am in love with a woman from a very Republican family whose daughter is a very intelligent, very beautiful, and very liberal woman...
Do you think if they asked me to resign from my local central committees and stop helping with local campaigns I would?
I do show respect for their beliefs, as I think everyone should, but that doesn't mean I would compromise my own.
Nothing wrong with disagreement.

|
Have seen Maria at least three times on TV in her white lace dress talking about how it is wrong to deny the presidency to one not born in the US because "after all they just want to serve this country." And so it starts.

17. Ted made a couple of comments about Maria and Arnold |
|
when he was stumping for Kerry up here in Maine last winter. I'm sure the Kennedy clan is not particularly happy with Arnold's political affiliation, but it's really not a BFD in the overall scheme of things, is it?

ted kennedy was opposed to the recall. don't lump him in with the others who supported arnold. and ted kennedy is the one who is really and maybe only one that is popular today.

Teddy was the one who pulled the strings to site the Convention in Boston, thereby tying this barely functional excuse for a city in absolute knots for a week or more. I'm getting the bleep out while the getting is good.
