Edited on Thu Jun-24-04 09:24 PM by KoKo01
it is. I remember in the dark days after the "Selection" when I found DU and had a place I could go where I could find like minded individuals.

But...it's changed...as Bush has disenfranchised more and more of America I and others have become even MORE disenfranchised.

Sometimes, we wonder where we even fit in.

1. To them...
We just don't fit in to their plans. Remember: In the 41 White House, people like us were known as "One Fodder Units".

Gotta be in the top 1.5% of wage-earners to be their idea of REAL Americans.

14. Didn't you see that Russia and China both refused to vote for
the UN resolution the admin wanted passed, granting the US immunity for actions in Iraq. China and Russia both said they could not take our side, China specifically stated the torture in the prisons and the abuse concerned them.

We will not be the only ones who will sigh great big sighs of relief on November 3, but so will the rest of the world. The sigh that will be sighed around the world. ;-)

We are the power. Simple? Yes. In an odd way, Bush is the best thing that could have happened to the liberal movement. They've been so dirty, so dishonest, so criminal, that they're about to usher in a LASTING Democratic Majority. It's amazing really.

11. hang in there and stay involved. the dismantling of the New Deal
and the Great Society need to be challenged. Along the way, there may need to be some compromises to negotiate, but don't give them lightly and keep your receipts. and let anyone you know who claims their vote doesn't count to remember the last Prez election. this from an older (I assume? - 52 years old) liberal.

12. For me, this started

with Newt and the "Contract with America". Then the government
shutdown, the impeachment, the stealing of the election, and the
entire 3.5 years of the Bush misadministration. Before, I was
left leaning but I didn't HATE the right. Now... and I HATE
them for that too.
