Did Bush really call Aids an "addiction"? |
|
Did he mean to say affliction?
This apparently happened during his recent speech donating 10 million dollars to Aids research.

"Every man and woman and child who suffers from this addiction, from the streets of Philly to the villages of Africa, is a child of God who deserves our love and our help. And that's what I'm here to talk about today. We're provided -- we're determined to provide that help. We're committed to help those at home and help those abroad. To whom much has been given, much is demanded."
Not only is AIDS an addiction, but notice the subliminal picture painted by "from the streets of Philly to he villages of Africa". Evidently white Christian suburban Merkans don't get this "addiction".

7. That wasn't a slip of the tongue, |
|
that was a subliminal word put in there. Since he is known for his cruelty to the English language, most people will pass it off as another goof. Make no mistake about it, it was a deliberate attempt to insult people with AIDS.
