Despite being war mongers, freepers seem shit scared of the draft |
|
here's a thread at the free republic, kicked off by a news article in the nutty news website newsmax titled "U.S. Readies for Draft" http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1159674/posts

1. Time for them to put their lives on the line for their jingoistic |
|
idiocy. They are sniveling cowards hiding behind their computer screens, as we all know rather well.

5. Their tune about torture might |
|
change too when they realize they might be on the receiving end if they get sent to Iraq.

4. Koolaid will only taste sour to a freeper if they're in danger... |
|
...of being drafted. The kool-aid doesn't taste as sweet as it once did.

9. Perhaps we should bring back the draft |
|
If only it would cause people to think before we go to war.

War should only be fought by stinking minority filth like "niggers" and "spics" to prove their worth to real, Christian Americans, like freepers. War should not be fought by REAL bona fide WHITE Americans. Sheesh.

14. Yeah, but the thing is ... |
|
They tend to forget all their chickenhawk heroes who bought and dissembled their way out of serving in Vietnam and Korea had something many of them don't have -- money. If not money -- friends in high places and political pull.
I've known plenty of poor white guys who did their time in country over there -- nobody paid for them to get shuttled off safely into the National Guard, or to have some ritzy doctor to determine that an anal cyst somehow made them unfit to operate a radio or pack parachutes or roll bandages in a hospital.
Would they have bought their way out if they could? Most of the ones I've known certainly would have. They didn't necessarily go because they looked forward to possibly having their heads blown off -- or, for that matter, because they had any pressing desire to kill yellow people. They went because it was a felony not to go, and it would have embarrassed their families and friends if they'd hot-footed it to Canada or Mexico to evade.
FReepers mostly are probably middle class and below, financially. I doubt many of them have the financial or political pull to buy their kids out of national service, if it's made an obligation again. A white boy whose pop can't buy his way out of the service dies just as dead as a black or Hispanic boy whose father can't buy his way out of the service.

13. I'll keep repeating it even though I know everyone here agrees. |
|
Anyone who thinks a situation is so desperate that his country must go to war, but who does not sign up himself, is a hypocrite and a coward.
I always like to ask warmongers if they've signed up.
