Good interview with Clinton on Larry King |

watching the 2nd run of this tonight and once again, I am mesmerized by his intelligence, candor, and kindness toward those who have so bitterly opposed him and "crucifyed" him. He's even plugging Kerry and makes no bones about it, he really doesn't want Hillary to run for Prez...he says she would be good for the country, but for him, he just wants her to travel with him:)
I voted for him both times, but I have to say I was so damn mad at him in '98, however, I always knew he was a good man and a great Prez...he seems to have come full circle. At least he can admit when he's wrong and also can APOLOGIZE. the big difference between him and Bush isn't whether one is a Democrat or Republican, it's that one really wanted the job and one didn't/doesn't.

1. The philosophical question here, at least according to Plato... |

Is "wanting the job" better than "not wanting the job". It can be argued that those who "want the job" only want it for the benefits it entails and the power of the position. However who you really want as your leader is the person who doesn't "want" the job, but merely takes it out of a sense of duty. I'm not sure if any president of recent memory fits this picture.
