Bush Camp Hits Democrats' 'Coalition of Wild-Eyed'

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites)'s re-election campaign lumped together vocal outbursts by Democrats Al Gore (news - web sites), Howard Dean (news - web sites) and others on Thursday and called them part of John Kerry (news - web sites)'s "Coalition of the Wild-Eyed."

Shown is a sound bite from a screaming speech by former Vice President Gore in which he said: "How dare they drag the good name of the United States of America through the mud of Saddam Hussein (news - web sites)'s torture prison?"

Dean, the former Vermont governor and ex-presidential candidate, is shown shouting: "I want my country back."

A clip from an anti-Bush ad from the liberal organization MoveOn.org blends images of Adolf Hitler and Bush.

2. This is the dumbest ad the Republicans could have ever come up with
And the best ad the Democrats could have ever come up with if THEY'd been the ones that put this together.

This ad is absolute proof that the angels are on our side, and that the Bush campaign machine is indeed stupid and bankrupt of ideas.

(My favorite part: that goofball circus music at the end when they show Shrub.)

10. I get the feeling
whoever created this insane ad, really didn't like Bu$h.

The subliminals turn Bu$h into one scary wacko.

19. The end proves Bush is out of touch
Iraq is a mess, the economy is barely recovering, all hell is about to break loose and there is Bush in the ad seen doing nothing while nice music plays. Who is this ad for? Honestly, I want them to play this ad 24/7.

3. A simple message...
brought to you by BushCo:

Democrats are insane.

If "sane people" (trans. Repukes) find out that you're a Democrat, they will shun you and laugh at you.

Show your "sanity" by supporting Bush*!

THE BACKSIDE OF THE BELL CURVE EXPLAINS IT ALL FOR YOU!

5. This is the most pathetic and desperate thing I've seen since...
Edited on Fri Jun-25-04 07:57 AM by RatTerrier
...Poppy called Clinton and Gore "a couple of bozos".

That hammered the final nail in his own coffin in '92.

All I gotta say is, "Keep it coming, GOP!"

6. I saw that clip yesterday and LMAO.
All our guys look passionate and absolutely truthful...and then Hitler morphing into Bush with Bush giving his "Heil Hitler" and at the end a wimpy Dubya. A lot of people have never seen that particular moveon.org ad with Hitler because moveon.org pulled it.

This is the best pro-Kerry ad ever produced.

of moveon.red background and connected this to the group
heres a sample:

NO SHIT, those were the Moveon.org ads!!!!! His ad is highlighting the lunacy of the left right now. The fact you did not understand what you were watching explains why you are a Kerry voter.

Yeah, as I suspected, now that you realise it is YOUR guys with the Hitler commercials, they really aren't that f*cking bad are they ####### ?????? So damned typical.

21. The Hitler Ad
Moveon held a contest and two of the ads submitted compared Bush to Hitler. Those ads did not win. There was a mini uproar about them even being on the site, but not much came of it.

Now the Bush campaign is coopting it for their ad but not a lot of people know the history. They are hoping to make the Democrats look like they are over-the-top trying to compare Bush to Hitler.

The Bush ad is a great ad for Democrats though because Bush truly looks like he is out of touch with the reality of this country.

24. 1,500 entries and these two slipped through
supposedly. I heard the ever knowledgeable Hannity mention this yesterday saying that MoveOn had them on their website, removed them, and then had them back on-I don't think the last part is true.

He lumped this into a blanket description of liberals yerning for POWER and using the Big Lie to get it.........the RW is try to pre-empt the Big Lie curtain being drawn back on them by accusing liberals, all of them, everyone one of them.

23. they had a contest a while ago and asked for submission of
anti-Bush ads. Viewers were asked to vote on the best ad to be shown on national TV. The Hitler ad was pulled early on and was never part of the whole thing. As far as I know, it was never used by moveon.org.

Lots of people are not even aware of that ad. To integrate it in a pro-Bush ad is so idiotic. To show Hitler morphing into Bush on the Bush-Cheney campaign website is the best pro-Kerry ad they've ever come up with.
