6. we mac users generally end up with a streaming pointer

for any content like that... every couple of weeks I have to clean 10 AAR pointers off my desktop. It's just a reference that tell the machine what program to open and where to go looking for the stream.

9. you know you can set up a catch-all folder to take all your downloaded

files. If you go to Safari preferences you can select the folder that takes downloads. Then all you need to do is apple-a and move to trash the contents of that folder and you will maintain a nice clean desktop.
