Did you hear about Howard Stern's F911 Scores promotion. . . |
|
. . .Michael Moore just agreed to it. He said he was so committed to seeing that F911 does well that he told Michael Moore that he is going to run a contest in which everyone who sees the movie and mails their ticket stubs to him will be entered into a drawing in which he will take 75 winners with him to Scores (famed NY strip club) for a private party. I know this might be a turnoff to some but Howard draws major listeners and a promotion like this could be huge for the film.

4. As I recall, he said he was doing this to attract non-Dems as well |
|
He said he wants everybody to see this film, particularly those who haven't already seen the light about the evil monkey.
Hey, man, if it takes g-strings, boob jobs and overpriced drinks to lure them in, I say Go Howard!

6. I think the other thing is the symbolism. . . |
|
. . .can you imagine if Howard Stern received something like 150,000-250,000 ticket stubs?

9. As a refined and decent human being, I must say I'm not interested at all. |
|
No, not in the least. I'm above that sort of thing.
...
Now I know what to do with my ticket stub.

13. Regardless of my personal opinions on the objectification of women |

I'm glad Howard's doing his part to increase the amount of lunkheads that will go see this movie. Now before anyone goes off on me, I'm not referring to anyone who would have seen the movie anyway. I'm talking about people who really don't give a $hit about politics but will now go see it now for the chance to hang out with their hero Howard while they treat women like objects.

I don't particular like Stern for that very reason (objectification of women and the superficial), but I think I am mature enough to consider people in total and not because of one issue or another. I support Stern's rights re: FCC censorship and I have to say I admire what he is doing right now. He's shown more courage and integrity lately than the entirety of the mainstream press in the past 3 1/2 years. Go, Stern! :toast:

16. This is a great idea because it generates buzz for the film |
|
Howard knows exactly what he's doing. I heard him talk F911 the other day. He was deeply moved by the film. He absolutely loved it.
