the firee in question worked at a radio station, and posted something here about sabotaging an upcoming Reagan tribute show. The FreepCreep had somehow figured out where the person worked, and sent a copy of the post to the station management. It sucks all around, but I guess the moral is: be careful what you write, and try not to give away too many real life details, because freepers lurk here.

I should have known from the cooker yesterday that you would know Jamie. I have to say Jamie is the only chef/cook that I actually follow recipies for. All the others I just watch them to get ideas, but Jamie :yourock:
Look out for another program Jimmy's Farm, it a mate of Jamie's setting up a pig farm to breed organic rare pigs. If it comes on over there it is worth watching. If you are into sausages anyway.

I have to say by the way you are one of my favourite posters. I think it was the Crack post a few months ago that did for me. :yourock:

13. Whom is technically correct, |
|
but it sounds awkward. In this case, I would rewrite the sentence like this:
What happened to the bloke (except in the U.S. we wouldn't say bloke) that the freepers got fired?

14. Except "that" is objectifying.....still incorrect |
|
Happens to be one of my pet peeves........ we're becoming such an objectifying society, and "that" refers to an object, not a person. Not only grammatically incorrect, but one more instance of making people into objects.
I prefer a struggle between "who" and "whom". Actually, "whom" is used so seldom now that it probably doesn't matter much which word is used. ("Which" is another word used for an object, not a person.)
Kanary, who's picked enough nits for one day. :)

Rule 1: Use "whom" only after a preposition (to whom, by whom, for whom, with whom, etc.)
Rule 2: see Rule 1. :)
