How could anyone that calls themselves an American not vote in November? |
|
If they have any sense of pride in their families, their communities, their lives, I cannot fathom how anyone could not vote in the upcoming election? Are they lost in a zombie world where reality does not affect them or their loved ones? How could they permit themselves to think that it doesn't matter? Will there ever be a more-telling barometer of the dreadful condition of our republic moreso than the number of people that neglect their civic duty to get involved in their own lives?

1. Because not voting is the American thing to do. |
|
Americans for the most part don't really want to care, about themselves or the rest of the world. They want some pretty face on the idiot box to tell them what to think.
The less they have to do the better....Now thats the American way!:(

6. Well, As Ron Reagan Jr.said |
|
he would vote for the "only viable candidate to bring Bush down".He was then asked "Do you mean Sen. Kerry?" Response"looks like he is the only viable candidate,so, Yes." There is NO OTHER CHOICE, unless you plan to do the equivalent of voting for Bush. IMPO, that ,with the info we have , indicates someone who doesn't give a damn about this country, is preoccupied by their own personal ideology ,is lazy, or downright stupid, all of which I consider unpatriotic and unamerican. That being said, they have a right to be all those things, and I have the right to totally disrespect those actions!

3. Because Bush and Kerry are the same so why bother. |

/sarcasm
But seriously, many people believe that drivel because of asshole liars that push that propaganda. There is an IMMENSE difference between the two men and anyone that says different is doing a disservice to the country and to democracy.

5. Ask the 94,754,703 voting-age citizens who didn't vote in November 2000 |
|
But then, you can always ask why George Bush has such a high approval rating?
Why American Idol gets hundreds of millions of votes?
And so on.

- they aren't old enough to vote. - they are ineligible to vote because of a felony conviction. - they are illiterate. - there isn't a 'none of the above' option on the ballot.
