Bush "Hitler Ad" is clever way to stomp on Move On.org. by Disinformation
Edited on Fri Jun-25-04 07:05 PM by KoKo01
allusions to Move On sponsoring an ad that featured Bush as Hitler. Even some DU'ers think that MoveOn.org ran that ad which means Rove's disinformation program is designed to turn Democrats on themselves, by criticizing Move On saying that "Oh Well didn't that Liberal/Soros funded operation do the same thing with Bush that WE Repugs are doing? Hey if the Dems can do it so can we."

I can see Matthews having an erection over how the Repugs are turning it all around on MoveOn.org. when in fact the video was entered in a contest and pulled from their site. It never ran as an official campaign ad. How does that compare with what's on Bush's site. Won't Bush just say "...well it's not on TV so it's not an official ad."

See how they work? They are very clever and turning things around on us. We need to be wary of this. IMHO...but it smells to me and it's clever in a Machiavellian way.

1. And even if it had been on MoveOn.org
That's different from being on the official website of a candidate running for election.

2. I Don't Think So
Rove should have never allowed any association with Hitler, Dimbo and Kerry in the same commercial.

IF the media picks up on it, Dimbo's cookies will be in the fire.

3. Someone else may be clever too
When I watched it, I immediately recognized the MoveOn entry, but my question is, did they get the permission of the person that produced that piece? Just because it was up on the internet doesn't mean that it's public domain. If said entrant DID give his permission, I think he might be the clever one.

4. Yeah, they're real clever.
Nothing like spewing easily refutable lies. And it's a delightful way to refer people to websites featuring the many ways in which Bush IS like Hitler, the fascism, the torture, the mass graves, wars of aggression....

Please tell me in what way Bush is NOT like Hitler? It really just comes down to numbers, doesn't it? Oh, and the fact that Hitler was a competent demogogue and George just sucks.

5. The truth KoKo01 as I see it, is that the Bush administration and
the ruling neo-cons are losing it. If they had done their homework, they would know that our camp is better informed than their lemmings and that we think for ourselves. There is no way we would confuse Al Gore or John Kerry for Hitler or Nazis. Maybe they will confuse their own constituents but we don't have those votes anyway.

I think they are doing dumb things like Cheney using the F word with Patrick Leahy and Bush self-destructing in Ireland as well as this ridiculous and may I say ludicrous ad. I think we are watching the beginning of the house of cards about to fall.

7. Oh I agree Ceita, that they are desperate but they're vicious and their RW
needs to be fed fresh meat constantly. This stupid attempt to copy an entry in MoveOn's competition makes us all ROFL, but my point is that it's more dirty tricks they do to "feed their beasts"...ah, excuse me, their base.

9. It will be interesting to observe just how low they will go.
I have a feeling there isn't a propaganda sewer deep enough or vile enough for them not to swim in it.

12. ABSOLUTELY NOT!
That's why this THING that TeamBush put together is so amazing. How could it possibly win them any votes? This is one game where we do not want to play by their rules.

How about an ad where they juxtapose Al Gore, Howard Dean and John Kerry getting all riled up with the shot of Bush sitting there with "My Pet Goat" looking like he just farted?

11. just treat it as Bush wants to be in the line up of wild eyed dems
We know it is Bush....and laughing it off as Bush trying to get in with the IN crowd is part of putting their ....Freudian projection back where it belongs....

14. You have totally nailed it
That is exactly what they do. It's all about a trap.

They've been doing it for a long time too. All they have to be is the first to make the ACCUSATION, and then they believe they are home-free to commit their crimes.
