CNN's Greenfield is about to "take F9/11 apart with a critical eye" |
|
Edited on Sat Jun-26-04 09:03 PM by plastic_turkeys
Coming up this hour. Of course, they didn't spend three years taking apart Bush's war with a "critical eye" but that's beside the point.

1. They hold Moore to a higher standard than Bush |
|
Whores, the lot of them, and Greenfield, as one of the smarter ones, is one of the most reprehensible.

2. Don't waste your time, Greenfield is a sycophantic prig |
|
He will bobble his big stupid head when he thinks he has made an especially viable point, yet he just warbles hackneyed talking points over and over. He will take no issue with the facts of the movies, only the point of view. He will pan the movie just as his corporate masters wish.

3. Jeff Greenfield is pretty credible |
|
and as there haven't really been any falsehoods found so far, I'd assume it will be a pretty positive report. The teasers have a tendency to make the reports sound more sensationalistic than they are, and I don't really see what he could say.
He'll probably mention the Saudi flight thing, but the film said on the thirteenth, so thats no biggie. Other than that, I don't think he'll be dropping any bombshells.

7. Last night, he compared the peaceful Baghdad footage |
|
to peaceful footage of Tokyo before WWII. Uh...McIntoshes and Satsumas. A peaceful Pearl Harbor would have been the more apt analogy. His reasoning propogated the myth that we had been attacked by Iraq.

Michael Moore sits in his office with cigar in his mouth counting his millions. Jeff Greenfield has to wait until next Thursday to get paid.

5. What's he going to say? |
|
That MM made a movie that presented his POV with wit and style? And a huge honking hunk of truth?

8. Nothing Is Untrue in the Movie |
|
Before seeing it, I had been made to expect by the media whores that MOORE was chewing up the screen with WILD, outrageous things. Instead, I found a low key, dignified movie. If the yakkers are going to say that the BIN LADEN family was cleared to depart by CLARKE, who cares. The FBI dude in the movie was VERY convincing on what a proper clearance should have been.
Oh, CNN is doing a promo for the GREENJEANS piece, coming up next, "Fact or Fiction?"

11. It's Over. GREENJEANS Was at His Namby-Pamby-est |
|
He was fairly neutral, in his mediocre way. At least he didn't slam it. He *did* cite the Richard CLARKE thing, but then quoted MOORE's response.

16. Reminds me of "A Fish Called Wanda" |
|
Near the end, when Archie (John Cleese) gets the drop on Otto (Kevin Kline), Otto is momentarily startled. When he turns around, he sees that it's Archie holding the gun. He relaxes and says, "Oh it's you! I was actually worried for a moment there."
Every time I hear that "Our reporter so-and-so puts Farenheit 911 under the microscope," I'm momentarily worried. Then I remember what kind of a "job" these assclowns do every day, and I realize that there's nothing to fret about. If these talking head jerk-offs had been doing their goddam jobs for the last four years, Farenheit 911 would never have had to be made.
