And name names like Couric,Brokaw,Woodruff,Blitzer etc. I didnt include any Fox reporters because we don't expect quality from them.

1. I agree.
This bunch needs to be shamed, shamed, shamed. The Fox "Digital Brownshirts" made my stomach hurt. Good grief....

of the media. It's time to knuckle up with them and let them know we're mad as hell and we're not going to take it anymore.

They should be ashamed.

5. Agreed! AND they should be asked why they didn't highlight neocons'
philosophy and involvement with the Iraq war. The scandal of the Project for the New American Century is the most underreported story, so far, of this century.

Much as I thought F-9/11 was a masterpiece, even Michael Moore left that story out of the movie. (In all fairness to him, maybe there wasn't enough time to cover everything.)

Back to the point - had "the liberal media" been doing their jobs, a movie like F-9/11 would not have been necessary!

8. Hell yes
I wrote to CNN, MSNBC, and the whole lot of chickenhawk corporate whores for the last 3 years yelling and screaming at the bastards for shilling for Bush and his buddies...did they listen to the parents of a kid in Iraq? HELL no they ignored us and ignored everyone on DU who emailed them and called them..
Corporate bastards...you damned well better believe they have blood on their hands...
The people HERE did the REAL journalism..!
And the people HERE uncovered and fought like hell
and the people HERE gave a face to the troops and their families
and the people HERE screamed and demanded the truth be told
Not the corporate media..they have to live with themselves now...almost 900 dead soldiers and tens of thousands of wounded and dead Iraqi people...the blood is truly on their hands...........

9. I call it Gross Dereliction of Duty. CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE. And
AIDING AND ABETTING. They are indeed EVERY BIT as culpable as the bushies - because they were in a unique position to debunk the crap and the lies, and shine a bright light of truth on these slithering bastards. And they did NOTHING. Well, unless you consider slobbering and gushing and cheerleading all over bush and his "package." EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM was in a position to know better.

I, too, dismiss the Pox "news" crew outright. They're beyond help, so they don't even count.

But the OTHERS: Tim Russert, Katie Couric, Matt Lauer, Diane Sawyer, Ted Koppel, Charlie Gibson, Tom Brokaw, Lisa Myers, Wolf Blitzer, Chris Matthews, Brian Williams, Judy Woodruff, Candy Crowley, George Stephanopolis, Cokie Roberts, Jim Lehrer, Dan Rather, Peter Jennings, that ABOMIMATION Paula Zahn, the laughable Larry King, the whole lot of them (although Dan Rather seems to have awakened from his stupor in the last several weeks, and he at least recognized the big boots they'd all been stomped by in an interview with the BBC more than a year ago - wherein he said that if he were to report anything adverse about the White House, he'd be "necklaced") should be facing charges. At the VERY LEAST - about 850-some-odd wrongful deaths that THEY AIDED AND ABETTED by refusing to report the truth about the war during its build-up. That blood, and all that carnage and wreckage and severed limbs and post traumatic stress syndrome and burned skin and pierced eyes and ear drums and poisoned lungs and all the rest of it - IS VERY MUCH INDEED SQUARELY ON THEIR HEADS. AND ON THEIR CONSCIENCES, TOO, assuming they even have consciences. I realize that's a pretty hefty assumption right there.

Mari, as a former journalist, I can scarcely express my shame. Shit, I WORKED WITH Candy Crowley at the AP when she was there (I was there, too). Same with Wendell Goler who's now with Pox. Shit. He played bass with the AP band. He was wonderful. Now? He's damaged goods. The whole lot of 'em should be fired, and we should start over. I can think of a few hundred people who'd man those anchor desks and reporters mikes in a far more worthy fashion than these spoiled, overpaid brat-children do. They ALL - every last one of them - should be ashamed of themselves. They won't be. Somehow they'll rationalize all over the map about it. They'll even say they were just trying to do their jobs. And THAT will be an absolute lie. That wasn't objective journalism they were committing. It was total, unabashed, unadulterated prostitution.

11. It's so sad that no journalists can think anymore.
It's simply "the Bush administration says this" and "the Democrats responded with that." Can't anybody remember how to research and get down to the facts?

Paula Zahn is amazingly bad. She always seems uninterested in her own show and often acts very pissy towards her guests. I thought Tim Russert was a decent journalist at one point, but after his softball interview with the President earlier this year, I lost all hope for him. I guess he didn't want to be "necklaced," either.

I don't know why "The Daily Show" is the only program on TV that has writers with any sort of memory of what our elected officials have said in the past.

14. Calimary..yep
and another thing while Im venting..when I was asked by Susan Galleymore of www.motherspeak.org if I wanted her to give my name to Deborah Norville and some of the people at MSNBC and CNN about our families and having a child in Iraq, I said NO. Because I wont sell my self to these people, they are shills and charlatans, and corporation mouthpieces...most of them have shown me they could care LESS about the troops, the people over there, and the lies right in front of their face.
Susan told me that many of the ones she met had NO IDEA what the truth was and didnt seem to care one whit.
So, F*ck em. We, the people, will plug the truth , and we will get it out one way or the other.

12. He even left the Dixie Chicks and "Freedom Fries" out of it!
He could have been so much tougher on them... the whining neocons got off relatively easy, when you think about it. }(

13. Great subject for him!
I saw something about where he wants to handle health care. I'm not so sure that that's his to take on. You kind of have to be in the field. It's a layered and has to be dealt with on micro levels. He approaches things on a more global level. He is tremendously talented in handling subjects that way. And, he has the advantage of being able to relate to massive amounts of people.
The way the media has failed us is ideal subject matter for him.

16. After watching Couric, Lauer, and Storm interview Moore, he
should do a documentary exposing the "liberal" media. God, wouldn't you love seeing him take on Coulter, Oreilly, Rush and the rest?
