being sent over to war first there would be no wars. That was a very truthful and very honest thought. I wonder what the bush lovers would say to that?

1. Well, believe it or not...
They are claiming that because one of the congressman Moore asked has a nephew in Afghanistan, it's a lie to say that he doesn't have a son in Iraq.

Hard to fathom, but that's how their minds work.

2. If MM had asked if the Congressman had a RELATIVE in the military....
only then I could understand the anger about not including the fact that this guy had a nephew in Afghanistan, but Moore asked specifically about CHILDREN and it was for the Iraqi war, not Afghanistan. Big difference. These people are grasping at nothing. Crazy, aren't they??

And as a side note...I love all of my nieces and nephews, but my daughter is my world. If she died, my soul would cease to exist. Your love for your child is never comparable to the love of anyone else. Any parent will tell you that.

7. That was Congressman Mark Kennedy from Minnesota
the clown they want to run against Mark Dayton in 2006.

I happened to check the local right wing radio station while driving around this morning and managed to catch the spin Kennedy's people are putting on this. They are now claiming the Moore was trying to get them to agree to enlist family members - not their children in the military. As those of us who saw the film know, Moore said "your children".

3. They showed an Army recruiting ad...
...among all the other ads at the theater before the previews... everyone laughed.

6. Was it a Regal Theatre?
They did the same thing where I saw the movie yesterday.

8. Yep.
Of course, the "Manchurian Candidate" preview was a perfect fit, although I guess either side could claim it reflects poorly on the OTHER guy. (Kerry WAS in Vietnam after all and could have received the brainwashing... then again, Bush's Daddy was head of the CIA at one point, too.)

I went to the corporate theater because they had the latest showing, and I knew the little indie house downtown would be totally sold out.

Hopefully, the sellout crowds will encourage the booking of "The Hunting of the President" and some of the other movies coming soon into the corporate theaters so they can get wider exposure.

4. In WW2,,,
Franklin Roosevelt's son served in combat.

Lyndon Johnson gave up his congressional seat to serve in combat.

Can you imagine something like that now?
