I think the secret of Moore can be found in something he said of himself in the interview. He sees/views himself as a stand-in for the average guy and gal. Those of us, who are shouting at the TV, who are ignored by the main stream press and who are frustrated at the lack of tenacity to ask the really hard questions.

22. Propaganda alert

What jumped out at me the most about the Michael Moore spot was how they asked him how such a normal, happy kid could be so "angry". The implication is that, as long as you are comfortable, you should just be happy about what is being done to others. A happy American is not supposed to become active.

This particular type of thinking just gets to me. The way I see it, if you were a normal, well-adjusted American, you would be extremely angry about what this administration is doing to our country and to the world. To think otherwise is to think selfishly.
