they're scared....very scared

-------
To: Nakatu X

Since this filthy swine is undermining the war effort and getting our troops killed by giving aid and comfort to the enemy,,,he should be arrested and charged with sedition,,,and jailed for 20+ years..

Obviously in a propaganda piece, only one side of the story is shown.

That is what moore said he was making.

6. I didn't know he said that 3 times! People think I'm making it up
when I tell them that he said it once! Our press is betraying us beyond belief. They have lost their true meaning and purpose.

They should really bother to read some history.

Plus, legally speaking, since Congress has not declared war, we are in a police action.

5. The U.S. Sedition Act
Well, I guess the wingnuts are guilty of this for the shit they pulled in 1998.

Remember how excited they all were about 'Clinton's War' in Kosovo and Iraq?

Selective memory, I guess.

What ever happened to freedom? They seem to favor dictatorship.

Hell, haven't we blown up all the Baghdad multi-plexes? American money pays for this war effort. I want to see the undercoating, and I believe I'm entitled as a citizen.

You don't go to war based on lies. Not in the Information Age. Time to tell the truth, and it shall set us free.

21. Of course he is (in a freeper's view), because ...

... for them, "enemy" and "opponents of the Iraq war" are interchangeable concepts. To them, "patriotism" simply means "shut up and do what we tell you".

30. I agree. But they a just a LOUD minority.
Most Americans don't feel that way about citizens of the Republic, no matter how sweaty and unshaven. Older folks know this. Some religious people know it. Some young ones know it, simply because I believe they have had better education than most average folks of generations ago. They're not all slack-jawed video zombies.

We're coming out of this, and we will have an opportunity to be a better country. We MUST lead to a sustainable future. No one else can mobilize the world like America can.

Kerry needs to rework our entire transportation system. We must rely less and less on oil every year. We must build and secure water supples and wastewater discharges, and well as invest heavily in alternative energy (solar, wind, nuclear, biodiesel).

Europe is better prepared for the coming future than America is. As rich and powerful as we are, I think we should turn our attention to preparing for a new domestic norm. Oil is old news, and a real opportunity is about to present itself. We can work together and help the whole of humanity, or we can kill all of humanity. We could move toward a more intellectually satisfying, nature balanced for of existence, while saving the best of our old world (internet, books, communication, history, teaching).

It's either fluffly liberal commune things or endless war. Personally, I think if you take away the resource theft end of our government, and we don't need to rely on Bandar Bush anymore, Saudi Arabia will be hit with a street uprising, and a real democracy will evovle there when women figure out how much inherent power they have when the men aren't dripping in American bounty.

I know...simplistic...but I'm tired.

12. Freepers should get a clue
My God, how can these people be so stupid. They are calling so much attention to this movie it's unreal.

BTW, how would "giving aid and comfort to the enemy" make them want to kill us? Now, when it became public knowlege that we were abusing Iraqi POW's, THAT made them want to kill us!

Also, would someone remind the Freepers that we're supposed to be over there to HELP the Iraqi people. You know, catch Saddam, catch or kill people that were part of his regime, etc. Most of the Iraqi people are innocent bystanders, not enemies.

Bush and his cronies are all charged with treason, found guilty and sentenced. And what's the sentence for treason against our country?

Then, after the sentences are carried out, Kerry pardons Moore.

32. I daresay the movie has been combed over to death for legal troubles.
Moore is too smart to get caught up in a revival of "The Alien and Sedition Acts". This Patriot Act BS will go up in flames if they start abusing it in Red America neighborhoods.

People think it's funny that Tommy Chong's bongs landed him in jail. It won't be so funny if it's there son or nephew.

They (BushC0) have lost their "gravitas". Kerry has tons of "gravitas" and can SPEAK and THINK in complete sentences, even if he does look like Lurch or the Professor from the first "Reanimator" movie.

He does look like a founding father, and he'll be a competent president. He's too corporate to be my favorite, but I'll give him a chance. Maybe he'll give us a new New Deal. We could use it.

History is certainly pissed off at us for not learning from it. We're kind of repeating some dark times right now. Pump some money into the public schools. Make teaching pay HIGH (like 6 figure high) and make them compete for the jobs...no cronies or my Aunt Bessie is on the school board. Pour the bucks into all schools, and the devil with them if they don't want to consolidate. Schools in our area are averaging "Ds" on standardized tests, and nobody is pissed.

We need to save the children from our brain farts. We never had it so good, and we got lazy. I'm ready to work for something bigger than myself. Hell, I NEED to work for something bigger than myself.
