Note to Bush on Turkey: Burning you in effigy is not a good sign
Tens of thousands protest Bush in Istanbul
President unpopular in Turkey where majority opposed Iraq war

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5297273/

ISTANBUL, Turkey - About 20,000 demonstrators, some chanting "USA get out of the Middle East!" gathered Sunday in a square to protest the visit of U.S. President George W. Bush and an upcoming NATO summit.

Bush is unpopular in Turkey, where the overwhelming majority of the public opposed the Iraq war. As Bush arrived in Turkey Saturday, supporters of Jordanian-born militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi said they kidnapped three Turkish workers in Iraq, Arab TV station al-Jazeera reported. The group has threatened to behead the hostage, an al-Jazeera employee told The Associated Press.

At the protest, demonstrators chanted "Istanbul will be a grave for NATO."

Bush's arrival was preceded by a series of protests and bomb blasts, including one Thursday that injured three people outside the Ankara hotel where Bush is expected to stay. Another blast that same day on an Istanbul bus killed four people and injured 14.

2. This just proves what I've been saying from the start
al Qaeda has taken over Turkey, and our only resort is an invasion of liberation. Pack your bags national guard and reservists. Cancel all the leave and discharges for the existing military. We have a war on terrorism to fight.
