Dumb, dumber, dumbest. Reagan, Quayle, Dubya. |
|
At least Reagan was an amiable imbecile and Quayle wasn't quite as offensive as most repugs. Bush, on the other hand, could probably get even the Delhi Lama to want to spit on him.
So which of them would you cast as dumb, dumber and dumbest?
My opinion, after watching Bush sitting in that classroom is that, not only is he dumbest, but, (as Dan Quayle said) "A mind is a terrible thing not to have."

And Quayle was only the VP, so that doesn't count.
The real enigma is Reagan who is proof positive that style always trumps substence.

He's afraid of horses. Reagan was a Hollywood cowboy, he could ride. I found the following and sent it to All Hat No Cattle and they posted it. I think it pretty much sums up Bush's failings.
Gene Autry's Cowboy Code
1. The Cowboy must never shoot first, hit a smaller man, or take unfair advantage.
2. He must never go back on his word, or a trust confided in him.
3. He must always tell the truth.
4. He must be gentle with children, the elderly, and animals.
5. He must not advocate or possess racially or religiously intolerant ideas.
6. He must help people in distress.
7. He must be a good worker.
8. He must keep himself clean in thought, speech, action, and personal habits.
9. He must respect women, parents, and his nations laws.
10. The Cowboy is a patriot.

"WHAT A WASTE IT IS TO LOSE ONE'S MIND. OR NOT TO HAVE A MIND IS BEING VERY WASTEFUL. HOW TRUE THAT IS." - Former U.S. Vice-President Dan Quayle at a fundraising event for the United Negro College Fund. He was attempting to quote the line "a mind is a terrible thing to waste".

mangle the English language as badly as Dubya does.
But as far as dumbest goes, I think the almost 50% of the American public who are still planning to vote for Shrub, win that title hands down.
