Newt Gingrich recites Frank Luntz's talking points
Edited on Sun Jun-27-04 01:14 PM by Cocoa
From his appearance on "Meet the Press" today, it's clear that Newt got the memo.

1. Newt Gingrich has sex with children.
I can't back that up, but he can't back anything he said up either.

2. Gingrich could have helped to write them
I don't know if he really did or not, but Gingrich is a master of eqivocation and nuances. How many times did he have a snappy answer to why rules apply to Democrats but not Republicans and certainly not to him personally?

Luntz' memo is already dated. The lies are too obvious for any "words" to work. No matter how they spin it, the invasion of Iraq had nothing to do with preventing terrorism or protecting the American people from it.

3. McLaughlin/MTP
On McLaughlin, Moonie Blankley parroted the new "poll" that says 75% of Iraqis support the new government.
McLaughlin challenged the poll, Blankley looked up the source, which was some RW/Bush poll and McLaughlin laughingly dismissed the poll saying "I'll wait for the Pew poll".

Om MTP McConnell and Gingrich referenced the same "poll", but Timmy Russert must have been instructed not to question the source of the poll.

Amazing how they all get the same sheet of propaganda for the Sunday shows.

5. I missed that
I'll try to remember to look out for the transcript, to send to the Daily Howler. Somerby has been giving Little Russ a thrashing lately.

6. I thought Frank Lutz was an independent pollster?
The house of cards is collapsing.

7. Hell no
He's a Republican Pollster and when he does his little town hall meetings with voters he asks very leading questions to make the Chimp look good. I think he was also involved in some way with the California Recall.
He's a Repg to the core.
