Just who is the Democratic choir?
This seems to be the latest pooh-poohing and cubby-holing by the reich-wingers.

If Moore's film preaches to the choir then more power to it - because the choir is large and have found they can sing very loud -- and that song is spreading

GOP may smirk when when they say they have a big tent -- but our choir has no limits and the louder we sing the better it sounds

Moore's film just preaches to the choir. well just who is in that choir?

To my knowledge I don't know of one person who voted for Gore in 2000 that now plans on voting for bush* in 2004. I do know several Bush*2000 voters who DO NOT plan on repeating that mistake.

I also know several people who did not vote at all in 2000, but will be voting in November - and it won't be a vote for bush*

what about you? Know anyone that voted for Gore that will vote for bush* this time around? What about bush* voters that now have regrets and plan on correcting that mistake? Non-voters in 2000?

I'm also curious about where to find numbers on how many registered "x"s that have switched affiliations -- Ind to Dem/Repug, Dem to Repug/ind?

1. I don't know of ANYBODY who voted for Gore in 2000
who plans to vote Bush in 2004. And yes, there are quite a few who voted Bush in 2000 who will not repeat that mistake. I don't know where all these damn polls are coming from that still show bush with a slight lead. WHERE? I live in Tennessee, for crying out loud, and I am seeing Kerry bumper stickers all over the place.

3. a dear friend of mine
teaches political science at a southern college -- he specializes in Presidential campaigns

we get together once a year with some other people for a big camping festival. (my partner and I couldn't make it this year)

ennywhooo--at last year's get together we got to talking about politics and the election. We asked him what his take on the '04 campaigns.

He shook his head and said "don't know yet, too early to tell -- but people are pissed, I haven't seen this level of anger since the Nixon days...."

for the youngsters -- Nixon pooh-poohed protests and polls, he maintained he had the support of the SILENT MAJORITY as opposed to those in the streets which were characterized as a vocal minority

sound familair?

It took awhile, but the Silent Majority started speaking out -- and not in favor of Nixon.

I sense the same scenario is being replayed.

4. Yes, people are angry
The only people I hear supporting the Bush administration are the media pundits. Down here among the po folk, people are: a) afraid for the future, b) mad as hell. This does not sound like re-election to me.

2. Good Point
Who is the "choir." Are "righties" trying to say there is some kind of lefty conspiracy to undermind the Bush's re-election bid. Oh my, how the Reich really looks bad right now.
