Poll question: What Was Your Favorite Scene In Fahrenheit 911?
Edited on Sun Jun-27-04 04:38 PM by DemocratSinceBirth
I am still disappointed that Michael Moore couldn't work in the video of George and Laura picking their noses and eating it at a Texas Rangers game

1. Lila Lipscom - killed me when she broke down on the sidewalk
after the freeper bitch accused her of staging it.

2. You beat me to it!
I especially like that line from the Freeperbitch, "blame Al Qaeda" before she meekly walked away.

19. She didn't meekly walk away
She had to get a parting shot in, "well a lot of other people died too"

Totally disgusting.

4. I was sooooooo mad at the Dem Senators.
I understand why Gore wouldn't sign...but not a SINGLE senator.

Pathetic. Spineless.

With people like that representing us in the Senate, we don't deserve to be the majority party.

11. No Senators Signed Cuz They Knew The Die Was Cast
But at you would have thought at least one senator would have signed...

I guess they thought it was futile and delaying the inevitable....

20. my understanding is Gore told them not to sign
it would have done no good. Why prolong the agony? What would the purpose have been?

IMHO, that was the cheapest shot of the movie. Pisses me off that so many people don't remember what happened. Even people here.

5. No video, just audio
Those were all funny scenes, but I thought the most powerful part of the film was that 30-or-so seconds of dark screen, with nothing but the audio from the 9/11 attacks rumbling through the theater. My favorite scene, because it was a vivid reminder of why this country waged war on terror in the first place... and how it's degenerated into such a snipe hunt.

:bounce:

8. The wailing Iraqi woman.
Where are you God? Where are you? Why did this happen?

Every scene of destruction in Iraq is for those people as tragic as 9/11. Only they aren't watching it on TV and crying (as most Americans did, save for the people who actually lived it), the Iraqis are coping with it in their everyday lives.

17. scenes of Iraqis before the war
doing normal things. Like actual human beings. Yes, their leader was a despot, but they had schools, functioning utilities, and jobs, hospitals, civil order.

22. How about when Prince Bandar called the Bin Ladens...
... a "wonderful, lovely family" or something like that?

The entire theater burst into laughter as he told Larry King of the Bin Laden family's "warmth."
