Bush Gets Bad Marks in Genext poll
In a recently released Newsweek poll of 18-29 year olds, President Bush obtained failing grades.

Young Americans believe George Bush is taking America in the wrong direction by a 58%-40% margin. His job approval rating is at 47%.

As for the numbers for the candidates, 44% chose John Kerry: 42% chose George W. Bush: and 10% chose Ralph Nader.

These numbers, other than Nader's strength, generally mirrors the population as a whole.

1. OMG I thought the title of this post read
"Bush gets mad, barks in Genext poll"

I thought it was either satire or he had gone right...off...the edge.

2. which leads me to believe
that 42% of Americans are evil, a scarily high number. They condone genocide, torture, war profiteering, the destruction of the environment, the destruction of the treasure and American imperialism overseas. May the rest of world be spared.

3. I heard that a lot of young people are going to see F911
not because they are politically active, but because they like Michael Moore. Maybe the movie will turn the tide for that generation. Now Kerry has to start making his case.

4. I believe it's true
My wife, who is a new naturalized U.S. citizen, had no intention on seeing the film initially. Now we are making plans for a matinee showing at our nearby theater. Her change of heart is not political. She now feels seeing this movie is "the thing to do". Maybe many young people will feel the same way. However we get them there is O.K. with me. I know our message is honest and just. No one is going to listen to me for two hours, but they'll see the movie. After that, we got them.

5. Just about EVERYbody in the F911 audience was well under 25 --
saw it tonight at the late (10:30) show in upscale suburban southeast PA. I fugured there would be a lot of old hippies and peaceniks there, but no -- ALL KIDS!

Boy I hope these kids vote. Wondering if I could get up the nerve to stand around with voter registration forms after shows.
