Al Franken on CNBC right now.....10:30 pm, CST
talking about voting trends........

new, HOT demo is SINGLE WOMAN!!!!!!!

unbelievable.......I've started several threads on this, citing REAL experts, like Stan Greenberg, and NOBODY gave a rat's ass

22 MILLION unmarried women didn't vote last time

etc.

wish I had the thread that had lots of stats, but when they redesigned bookmarks, I lost all the old ones

1. one of the guests is from Greenberg's polling company
might be his daughter

they're discussing how to get out the votes among the female and YOUTH demo, cause they believe it's a rich potential source of democratic votes

steven spielberg's son is also on, as well as Maggie Gyllenhall

I was really disappointed that nobody cared about this subject when I brought it up, at least two months ago....kept bringing it back to zero response

but think about this demographic

how many of them fit the democratic profile?

that was the point of the articles I linked, too.....

will break my back and hit google for it

5. Wish I'd seen this in time.......so, did he blast the non-voting women?
That seems to be the trend....... rather than figure out why, and how to change that, the non-voters are just blasted..... I'd like to know what he said.

Thanks for posting -- I always appreciate the heads up......wish I had seen this in time......

14. Well, I guess that definitely shows the left bias then........
Edited on Sun Jun-27-04 11:38 PM by Kanary
I got royally blasted here for trying to explain why poor folk no longer vote in the numbers they used ot.

Totally taken to task.

But, "single women" are going to be wined and dined, until they vote, eh?

Yup, the bias is clear.

Thanks for letting me know. I wanted to know........ and now I really feel disheartened.

12. Heh. Shallow, but . . . . possibly true?
Look single women are being marketed to like crazy--for lipstick, weight loss products, cars, clothes, hair products . . .

How the hell is the Democratic party going to get on the radar?

(I'm speaking in generalities here.)

13. so what's wrong with shallow, anyway?
should I go to a nursing home next?

and, btw, how do you know what I meant by "appreciative?"

I see you chose to take shallow, un-nuanced interpretation.
