F911 - Mother - in-law didn't want to watch our kids
Edited on Sun Jun-27-04 10:49 PM by carpediem
my husband convinced her. She is lifelong repub.

Drove to see it in Sarasota - sold out all day.

called Brandon Florida (heavy military - officer population)

We were able to get tix to the 4:25 showing ( there were 2 4:25 showings up from only 1 just Friday.) Our showing was almost sold out.

People were cheering laughing crying etc.

my husband said he heard one person say "yes he was" in response to Sadam not being a threat.

However, most everyone applauded at the end of the film

I ran into someone after the show who told me to please go to moveon.org about a get together tomorrow. she thought I was part of moveon.org because of my blue t-shirt.

I told her to vist DU. She wrote it down. She hadn't heard of DU - hopefully she will visit. She was a Kerry suppoter from Orlando. Good person to have on board!

Great movie - planning to send it to my repub relatives on dvd when it comes out in Sept. saying please watch this for my kids future - even if you block out all MM speech. One can only hope - I have 3 kids, 2 girls 7 and 5 and 1 boy almost 2. I won't let them be cannon fodder. As I see it if * gets elected this time, we need to go so they don't get caught up in this cr*p.

2. I heard someone say as we were leaving the movie...
It should be mandatory for every American to see this movie.

I agree and which MM could make 5 more between now and Nov.

3. I heard someone say this should
affect the election.

My comment to my husband was "I didn't think it was possible to hate him and his administration any more than I already did!"

7. In-laws live in Bradenton we got to Burns court and
there was a sign saying all showings sold out today.

Did you buy your tix in advance? We were there at 2:15 for a 3 or 3:30 show.

6. Buy a ticket out your own pocket, for a Republican any repug.
It will open eyes, at the very least a fucking thought process, that's been dead and/or distored by Fox, Limbaugh, etc.

8. when we asked for them to watch our kids
Edited on Sun Jun-27-04 11:48 PM by carpediem
they said it is just propaganda.

We said you watch your propaganda FOX every day.

And we have to watch the truth at the movies because the media isn't doing it's job.

what's the irony in that?
