Linguistics?
I use the f-word all the time…….

But I have decided that I will say “cheney” instead of the f-word from here forward.

Any takers? Could be a societal shift?

1. I just like the sound of the other word better
Saying Cheney just makes me feel dirty.

But give it a shot.

Even my mom knows what santorum is now.

2. Santorium
That's funny, and I agree that the other word sounds better -- one syllable and all.

Maybe the trick is to accent the "chen," as in "chain"(ey).

I know that I have to watch my language at certain times. Training myself to say "chain"(ey) would be an easier route.

Chain that!
