Today will go down in the hallowed halls of history as the beginning of the bright and beautiful Iraq, a sovereign nation, complete with freedoms and, one day, security.

The world will remember this proud day, the day when children hung from windows throwing confetti as the parades of Iraqi Government and soldiers passed by blaring the Iraqi national anthem, the ceremonial pomp and circumstance, the jubilant fanfare - kind of brings a tear to my eye.

Bastille day, Mexican Independence day, the 4th of july and now, June 28th - Transfer of Limited Sovereignty Day!!!!

Enjoy, newly liberated Iraqis, and don't overdo it on the pork hot dogs and beer!!!
