Isicoff lying his ass on Morning Sedition on F-911
sent them this from DU:

sedition <sedition@airamericaradio.com>
Subject: Fwd: Richard Clarke's testimony backs up Michael Moore on the flights..

Begin forwarded message:

Richard Clarke's testimony backs up Michael Moore on the flights...
Moore is absolutely correct that the bin Ladens and the Saudis flew during the embargo. Richard Clarke's testimony before the 9/11 testimony states that:
MR. KEAN: Senator Gorton?
MR. GORTON: One more question on that subject. When the approvals were finally made, and when the flight left, was the flight embargo still in effect or were we flying -- or was that over? We were flying once again?
MR. CLARKE: No, sir. No, Senator. The reason that a decision was needed was because the flight embargo -- the grounding was still in effect.
Here is the link for those who wish to check it out. Please use this testimony to refute the only argument that the right wingers seem to have re Moore's movie and it's accuracy.

2. I really don't like saying this, but the
hosts sounded woefully unprepared to handle the interview with Isicoff.

"If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch."

Why in the world didn't they have the 911 commission transcripts to quote from.

Isicoff had total control.

4. Sue Elicott was missing. She is the journalist.
Of course Mark Riley could have.

5. Don't you love how they all seem to "have not heard about"
just about everything they are asked.. If WE know it, why don't THEY???

They never come out and say, "That is wrong, and I know it because I interviewed ...... and ...... and here's the real story".. They just feign ignorance.. That's what's so infuriating..

Of course if it does not originate in Rove's fax machine, they don't report it..:grr:

6. This is what happens when comedians play journalists

It is why I do not like this program. Mark Maron is a joke as an interviewer - he is a second-rate "comedian" who has no business speaking with ANYONE even remotely connected with journalism.

If they insist on keeping this show in its present format, let him continue to do his "bits" (as unfunny as they are). However, if they want credibility in morning "drive time", this show needs to go.

Once a week, maybe on Saturdays?

7. agreed, totally
A few weeks ago another host remarked about how he doesn't know anything about what's been going on in book publishing and in particular, investigative journalism/bush books. This confirmed that I don't think he's knowledgeable enough to hold down a post like this.

There are plenty of other good people out there. C'mon, AA, give us some quality.
