Another Book: A Pretext for War
The author was interviewed this morning on the Today Show

Just why did U.S. intelligence agencies fail to prevent and predict the 9/11 attacks and claim that Iraq, under Saddam Hussein, had weapons of mass destruction? In a new book, investigative journalist James Bamford blames the Bush administration and an elite group of conservatives for the response to the Sept. 11 attacks and the War in Iraq. He also criticizes the CIA for the Abu Graib prison scandal. Bamford was invited on the "Today" show to discuss his book, "A Pretext for War: 9/11, Iraq and the Abuse of America’s Intelligence Agencies." Here’s an excerpt:
