Michael Moore needs to make a documentary about the "news media" |
|
Just as was suggested in his interview with Hannah Storm of CBS News this morning. The infotainment freaks do not want to take responsibility for anything that has happened in Iraq since 9/11 and the invasion. They want us to forget all the "experts" they had on their stations to tell us all about the latest technological armaments and they refused to have an opposing viewpoint to the war. Every g-damn one of them! And it wasn't because they couldn't find anyone against the war. There were protests with hundreds of thousands of people and there were celebrites against the war. But they were hellbent on pushing their little war. They could not wait to get their embedded reporters with visuals from the front line of the March to Baghdad. They could not wait to put the photos of the "heroes" on their "wall" in their studios. And now they sit back and self-righteously speak as if they have given "both" sides to the war from the very beginning. They are liars on top of everything else. And they criticize Michael Moore for propagandizing and just giving "one side" of the story. I'm hoping he's saving all the reporting footage from the different media whores and he scalds their asses so much they scream in pain.

1. My biggest take-away from F911 |
|
was that the media hasn't been doing its job for 3+ years.

3. the major media hasn't done its job since ownership and control... |
|
...have been consolidated in 7 or 8 major media groups, all repug controlled. Then again, that was the plan, right?
Fourth estate: nonpartisan watchdogs? Don't count on it.

4. Not hard at all actually.... |
|
I'm sure there is plenty of taped archive material on the invasion.
I've been thinking this should be Moore's next target for months now.

There's more than enough material, and I can envision it being VERY FUNNY as well as biting and devastating to the mediawhores. Heck, I'm not even very creative, and I can imagine what he could do contrasting the coverage of the Big Dog with the coverage of *, using real footage. CAN"T WAIT!!!(Somehoe, I think this will happen.)

8. I would have to think.... |
|
that all over the media industry are underlings, or maybe even "talent" types, who don't like the way things are going, and would be more than happy to slip Moore some footage of behind-the-scenes discussions, memos, etc. Just think about what we here at DU know -- it would be enough to fill ten movies! He could begin with the story of this film and the distribution problems, then move onto the mainstream media "interviews" he was subjected to,then the follow-up. And he could contast the allegedy success of right-wing authors (bulk sales), radio talk show hosts (contrasts that prohibit competition) and tv hosts (like Dennis Miller, who is kept on by CNBC even though they have to literally pay people to be in his audience, and the viewing audience is so low as to be almost immeasurable). And wouldn't you love a video montage of Wolfie getting all fluffed up before he goes on the camera, or Robert Novak getting his eyebrows pasted on or his teeth plopped in, or whatever the hell they do to him to make him look half-human?

9. Moore did that regularly on his show, The Awful Truth. |
|
And it's there in F9/11.
And just think: the theater was packed, the movie sold out, and the movie cheered at the end -- in Kansas.
