Let freedom REIGN

Cable news outlets are reporting that during the NATO summit Bush received a note from Condi informing him of the early transfer of sovereignty.

Bush grinned smugly, and jotted his thoughts on the note:
"Let freedom REIGN"

As is typical of Bush, he doesn't quite get the words right. Clearly what he meant to write was the oft heard phrase "Let freedom RING"

As usual, Bush's malapropisms are very telling. His replacing the word RING with REIGN is extremely revealing of the way he thinks, wouldn't you say?

Silly me.

I thought THE PRESIDENT would be in charge of deciding things like this. Maybe it's just me, but isn't HANDING OVER SOVEREIGN POWER TO A NATION something that shouldn't be delegated?
