Edited on Mon Jun-28-04 02:54 PM by Melodybe
that explains their whoreyness for this adminstration. I was wondering, GE owns NBC do they have a chunk of that too?

Eitherway F9/11 let the cat out of the bag, God bless Micheal Moore.

1. It's been known for years...
...that the Sabah Family from Kuwait owns part of Bank of America, and citigroup, and has several billion in US Treasury Bonds that can be liquidated immediately. Why do you think Bush1 freaked out so badly when Saddam invaded them in the early nineties?

2. I didn't kow about their connection to CNN though, and now things make
a lot more sense.

Evil, pure unmitigated evil.

3. I thought Saddam invaded Kuwait - not Saudi Arabia.
I also was under the impression that Bush 1 didn't give a damn until after a 2hr. emergency meeting with Maggie Thatcher. THEN he cared.

4. I'm sorry I was talking about Kuwait...
Yes, Saddam invaded Kuwait after he spent ten years protecting them Iran during the 10 year war they had in the eighties. During that time he ran up a huge national debt, defending Kuwait, and the Kuwaiti's refused to let them have an easier time paying the debt off.

A lot of that sort of "behind the scenes" action was the reason for the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq.

5. Owning CNN explains SO MUCH, though.
The more you hear about the Saudi Government, the worse they look. That nugget had escaped me - glad to know it. Thanks.

10. Oh yeah,

also there were the slant wells drilled on the Kuwait
border directly into Iraqi oil fields.

6. A lot of people were under a lot of different impressions back then.
It all started with Ronnie Reagan vetoing a bill in 1982 that would have made public knowledge, all foreign investment in the United States companies and banks. Then the piece by piece buying out of the United States by oil rich middle eastern countries began. No one really thinks our soldiers are out there in the middle east getting killed because the government actually cares about the fate of the common middle eastern people do they?

7. Not me. And now that you mention it, I do
seem to remember Reagan vetoing that bill. So many puzzle pieces...
My eldest son was in Oil War One, and even then I knew it was not about saving the Kuwaitis. The level of their machinations is breathtaking...I wonder how long they've actually been planning this takeover of the Middle-East oil...decades, at least.

9. It's sort of disturbing, the first time I read..
"Necessary Illusions." by Noam Chomsky, I got a sick feeling in my stomach, that we as a country, could so coldly sell ourselves off like that, and that the US government could actually support it.
