In the spirit of *Atomic Cafe*- a documentary that had a |

particular point of view, that of showing the evil and absurdity of the Atomic war era. Saw F911 today in Fort Worth and it reminded me of this, the black humour, mixed in with actual news footage so that there could be no escape from the reality that particular things were said and done. Saying that it's not unusual to have a documentary that presents a particular point of view.

Yes, most documentaries do have a strong point of view and are often political-that's the whole point of them! Whoever is saying they are supposed to be neutral is ignorant of film history and obviously has not seen many of the greatest award winning documentaries of the past. I'm thinking of 'Harlan County USA', 'Titticut Follies' 'Salt of the Earth', 'High School', 'The Sorrow and the Pity', 'Why We Fight', 'Hearts and Minds', I could go on and on.
