Why did Ari Fleischer quit?

I realize this is old news. I heard a rumor that he quit because he couldn't take lying for Shrub anymore and I was just wondering if that was true.

Ari's father is a Democrat and was quoted in an interview as saying something like "He suppose Ari's doing drugs would have been worse than being a Republica...but not much." (sorry no link)

As for Ari... I haven't a clue but the "sick of lying" theory seems to me to hold some water.

is simply staggering. I don't believe another human has ever lied as often or as blatantly as Ari.
