Just before he pledged to see it on Larry King tonight.
Wow.

1. I am sure John will be shocked and awed beyond belief. He will see the |
|
reason for the Pubs defeat this November....and he will understand the jig is up, thanks to the chimp.

7. I don't think so. He'll be appalled at the "misinformation" is what I |
|
think.
He's a Repub who will see a movie attacking his leader. Just like we would be angered at a film devoted to attacking Clinton, he might very well be angered.
Still......seeds of truth will make their way into his head. It won't cause him to DO or SAY anything, since he's a loyal Repub. But still....

16. Warner is no fool. He realizes damage when he sees it. Bush is toast. |
|
now watch Warner and others abandon ship/distance themselves from the Bushies. The Bushies have become the SAD JOKE of the YEAR. The film has worked and there is nothing the Pubs can do about it.

3. This might be one of those films |

that everyone eventually sees. It's kind of like missing the first moon landing.

...why should this guy get so much credit just for admitting we have free speech in this country?

6. Warner Peddles Softer Partisan Tones |
|
At the beginning of the show, he tried to explain why Iraq was like Vietnam, at least not yet.
Warner is old school Republican - he is not a fan of the Santorum school of politics.

8. He's also the only reason Oliver North isn't an U.S. Senator |
|
Warner bucked the Republican system in 1994 by putting up an independant candidate during the North/Robb election. The Ind. candidate absorbed enough votes from North that Robb just managed to squeak by for another term.

She called North a liar who hurt the Reagan legacy in the waning days of the 1994 campaign.
That's why Ollie wasn't invited to the funeral.

14. Yep he got Marshall Coleman to run |
|
Dead on Mike-THAT kept Ollie from becoming a US Senator though there was some talk of creating a COngressional district for him to run in in 2002-along the Va. WV border a sure win if they had done it. Luckily cooler heads (did John Warner put the breaks on that too?) prevailed.

18. I like Warner. Even when he sides with the Republicans, I like... |
|
how he uses his vast life experience to explain his reasoning. Most Republicans just act righteous, as though their opinion is undoubtedly correct and self-righteous. Warner also criticizes his fellow Republicans when he feels they're out of line, which makes me actually appreciate his criticism of Democrats, instead of just dismissing him as an "ignorant meanie". I also like how he's close friends with that other really old Democrat congressman (yes, I know I sound like dolt right now) who he always works and travels with; I don't know his name but I know they're on the same committee with Hillary Clinton. Anyhow, that's really reassuring when you see old politicians being friendly colleagues and putting partisanship aside. Yeah, he's a good guy and an asset to American politics. In general, I like the older congressmen.
