Poll question: Does anyone know any Gore voters who plan to vote for *? |
|
My brother-in-law voted Bush and plans to sit this election out rather than vote Bush again (there is no convincing him otherwise). An old friend who is a moderate Republican plans to vote Nader, he isn't to the point that he can vote Democratic yet so it is a protest vote. Two other Nader 2K friends are going to vote Kerry and view their Nader votes as mistakes.
I know way more Democrats than Republicans but not one Dem I know is switching to Bush, even the less informed ones.
Now I this is anecdotal but I'm fairly sure it is a trend anyway. On the other hand how can the race appear so close if there is no crossover and the independents lean Kerry?
So how many Gore voters do you know supporting *? If you don't know any do you know any Bush/Nader voters who are planning to vote differently, and against Bush?

but she's a complete morAn, I will never know WHY she voted for Gore anyway as she is a RW Xtian. If she does vote for Kerry it'd be over the war but I would be surprised.

2. The polls don't make any sense to me either. |

But maybe my world is insulated.

My girlfriend was a Republican who campaigned for Bush in 2000. She's voting for Kerry.

5. I used to think there would be none.... |

But I'm afraid there will be more than a few. Hopefully not too many to be counteracted by moderates who got fooled last time around who will vote dem this time, but still there will be some.
Ed Koch is the most high profile one I can think of. I'd be foolish to think that there weren't non-famous people with the same mind-set as his.
