COUP D'ETAT (VERY long article)
Edited on Wed Jun-30-04 08:23 AM by Skinner
I've tried to provide a synopsis in my post below, but I bet I got some things wrong.

The Real Reason Tenet and Pavitt Resigned from the
CIA on June 3rd and 4th

Bush, Cheney Indictments in Plame Case Looming

by
Michael C. Ruppert

additional reporting by
Wayne Madsen from Washington

JUNE 8, 2004 1600 PDT (FTW) - Why did DCI George Tenet suddenly resign on June 3rd, only to be followed a day later by James Pavitt, the CIA's Deputy Director of Operations (DDO)?

The real reasons, contrary to the saturation spin being put out by major news outlets, have nothing to do with Tenet's role as taking the fall for alleged 9/11 and Iraqi intelligence "failures" before the upcoming presidential election.

Both resignations, perhaps soon to be followed by resignations from Colin Powell and his deputy Richard Armitage, are about the imminent and extremely messy demise of George W. Bush and his Neocon administration in a coup d'etat being executed by the Central Intelligence Agency. The coup, in the planning for at least two years, has apparently become an urgent priority as a number of deepening crises threaten a global meltdown.

VALERIE PLAME

Valerie Plame was a CIA NOC agent whose job it was to ferret out WMD programs in the Middle East, including bio, chem, and nuke weapons. Her work was VITAL to the safety and security of this nation.

JOE WILSON

Ambassador Joe Wilson, her husband, was dispatched to Niger to confirm that Iraq had attempted to purchase uranium yellowcake from that nation for Iraq. He was sent there by the Bush* admin.

BETRAYAL

Upon his return, Wilson stated that there was no such sale; that the story was false. In response, an unnamed official in the White House attempted to discredit him by outing his wife as a CIA NOC agent.

More than seventy agents have reportedly died as a result.

CRIME

This was a felony, not for Novak, who is protected by journalism laws, but for the person or persons who initially outed her to him as a CIA NOC agent. Such outing carries with it a penalty of a felony and at least ten years in prison.

THE LINK

Very few people in our government know the identities of the NOC agents; this is intentional and vitally necessary. Otherwise, we would not be able to collect intelligence in a clandestine manner. The outing of Valerie Plame as a CIA NOC agent seriously compromised our ability to gather intelligence regarding other nations' WMD programs.

INVESTIGATION

A special prosecutor was appointed and a grand jury was convened. The results of that investigation are expected to be revealed in the next couple weeks, per a DoJ insider who reported to fromthewilderness.com, a site with 16,000 subscribers in 40 nations, including 35 members of the US Congress. This is where the nation's media turns for stories that are about to break.

This DoJ insider claimed that the indictments would "cause the tectonic plates under Washington to shift."

CURIOUS FACT

Tenet and Pavitt resigned within hours of each other on July 3 and 4. One must wonder if they decided to turn state's evidence against the Bush* administration.

SPECULATION

There are rumors that not only will some Cabinet members be indicted, but that both Bush* and Cheney will be named as unindicted co-conspirators. This coup d'etat could well remove all upper-echelon Republicans from office prior to the RNC Convention in August. Time will tell; however, it is telling in itself that Bush* both hired a private attorney AND held a seventy minute private interview with that attorney just a few days ago. Such a thing has not occurred since the Watergate scandal... and this is signifigantly bigger than that. This is a legal fact, not an opinion.

INDICATORS

Also recently, the Fed adjusted its M3 money funds, providing liquidity to US finances through the end of the year. Such an unusual move indicates that a major catastrophe for the Bush* admin is in the works; a coup orchestrated by the CIA is a distinct probability at this point. Remember, the CIA is getting the finger pointed at them for the 9/11 attacks.

CONCLUSION

Time will tell; however, I feel the Bush* administration is in very serious trouble, none of it relating to "Fahrenheit 9/11". This is a disaster of their own making, and my guess is that eventually they will reap what they have sown.

RULE #1: As a sitting President, thou shalt not screw with the CIA.

RULE #2: Thou shalt not break Rule #1.

Junior didn't get Poppy's memo on that, apparently.

I was spreading this info to hell and back yesterday at work. It was amazing how few people (myself, alone) knew anything of this.

I was sort of trying to prepare them for it. Made up a flow chart and everything. It was fun.

17. There are important bits missing from your synopsis
Ruppert is saying the CIA forged the documents, to trap the Bush administration into making a fool of themselves. He claims:
"Seymour Hersh of the New Yorker also offered this version indicating that the documents had surfaced in Italy in the fall of 2001."
and comments:
"The fall of 2001. That means that the documents were created no more than three and a half months after September 11th."
but this is slightly wrong. If you check Hersh's New Yorker article (http://www.newyorker.com/fact/content/?031027fa_fact), you see that he claims the original Italian intelligence report about Iraq and Niger officials meeting, which the Italians suggested (without any documentation) was to try to buy uranium, was given to the CIA in the fall of 2001. Hersh says the documents were forged later by ex-CIA operatives:
"a small group of disgruntled retired C.I.A. clandestine operators had banded together in the late summer of last year and drafted the fraudulent documents themselves." (last year meaning 2002, since the Hersh article was written in 2003).

Ruppert comments:
"Hersh's revelation provided corroboration for something I and others, like the renowned political historian Peter Dale Scott, had been suspecting for a long time. The CIA was fighting back. This was a well orchestrated, long-term covert operation - exactly what the CIA does all over the world."

This means he claims the CIA has been working to trap the Bush administration into making the Niger uranium claim since the summer of 2002. That means it's not just the outing of Plame that the CIA are pissed off with - they've been working against the Bush regime since the 'stovepiping' - Tenet and Pavitt resigned as part of the plan to leave the Bush administration holding the baby. Ruppert also speculates that they are doing this because Wall Street became fed up with the incompetence of Bush and his cabinet, and the CIA are working for Wall Street (ie rich corporations like oil companies), not Bush.

11. Fun to read, but this guy is dreaming
Edited on Tue Jun-29-04 01:14 PM by Jacobin
Hey, I love the dream, I wish it would happen, but the result he says is going to happen from all the criminal activity is soooo improbable, given that Smirk owns the SCOTUS, Congress and the WH, that it is impossible to give the outcome he predicts any credibility at all.

Anyway, WHO is going to appoint the new CIA chief? Duh, its Smirky.

20. That's how it looks to me, too.
The whole premise makes my heart beat faster and I'm totally up for daydreaming about Bush taking the fifth but this article requires a real leap of faith.

The Saudi/Am oil co, for instance- Plame's cover was to work for them, but doesn't necessarily make them CIA in their entirty.

18. HOLY OIL SLICK- BATMAN!
All I can say is WOW

and a whole lotta questions....

assume for a moment that bush*/Cheney are removed before August convention....

"Based upon recent developments, it appears that long-standing plans and preparations leading to indictments and impeachment of Bush, Cheney and even some senior cabinet members have been accelerated, possibly with the intent of removing or replacing the entire Bush regime prior to the Republican National Convention this August.

That would leave the GOPers in a real pickle -- who would they tap to run in bush*/cheney's place -- that would be credible? McCain?

and could a last minute "sub" have enough time to build a credible campaign?

and what about all the GOPers that have had their lips glued to the bush*/cheney butt or have been trying to ride the coat-tails?

How will the GOP voters react? Will they continue with their support? slink away and hide? Join the coalition of Wild-eyed?

If this comes to pass -- all hell's going to break loose
