Many of us probably remember a number of months ago when that footage was posted here in its entirety, with the joking comments of the troops, gleeful at killing who knows who.

I wish Moore had layed that bit in its entirety. It was only a minute or 2 long.

Anyone got a link to refresh our memories?

The snippet as Moore presented it was so short as to really blunt the horror of it...

Those who criticize Moore for being "over the top" and "using a sledgehammer" have NO IDEA just how much he restrained himself. I personally have seeen all kinds of much more appalling footage from Iraq than what he put in there. Hell, he didn't even include little Ali Ismail Abbas.

are we sure those people are farmers?

Not that I am a war supporter, but if those were soldiers, they simply died in battle.

It was still a brutal brutal clip, though.

3. Yes, there is some question about that...

That's why I put farmers in quotes. They may very well have been insurgents for all I know. Many here at the time it was posted were convinced by their movements that they were not soldiers or insurgents.

It would be interesting to know a bit more about the clip.

My comment about Moore's restraint stands, though, no matter what.

my detailed memories are failing me....

I wonder how many live and dead Ali Ismail Abbas there are that we will NEVER HEAR ABOUT.... May we be forgiven for the attrocities we inflicted or failed to stop.
