2. I would suggest a compromise |

Showing F911 would constitute a public service, but we'd also like to see Moore get paid. If you do find a copy and show it, send a few bucks to the man himself.

4. It's available on eMule and Bit Torrent |
|
but it's videotaped off of a movie screen. I wouldn't attempt to show a crappy pirated copy of F911 to an audience (even though Moore says it's okay to do so). Wait for the DVD and screen that instead.

6. I would check with a lawyer about any public showing, even with... |
|
a legally purchased DVD. Public showings and home use are two VERY different things. (A long time ago I wanted to show vintage movies at a coffeehouse and learned just how expensive that was!)

7. Moore has already stated that he has no objections |
|
to free public screenings of the film as long as it's completely not-for-profit. But it'd probably be a good idea to verify this with IFC and Lion's Gate first.

8. the copy is not so bad. |
|
I just watched 3 minutes of it. Going to the theatre first, but plan to distribute the two VCD's I made to the underage friends of my daughter who cannot go "without parent" (is that considered distributing pornography to minors?). Mind you, I only got it after I heard M. Moore said it was OK, will probably buy the DVD anyways when it comes out.
While I can't post the link (does Michael Moore really have the legal right to say you can distribute this, or is it the distributors -- probably a gray area that I do not watch to put the DU into, but at least it is not being distributed by Disney :-)! a "bittorrent Fahenheit 911" google search will probably do...
