Do local Fox affiliates take the same slanted approach to local news?
I've never actually watched the local Fox newscast, but I'm sure some people here have at least once. So are the local news teams biased towards conservatives as much as the cable network is? Just curious...

1. Yes, they do
But one anchor out of three is usually liberal, and the political commentator is always a right wing idologue repeating RNC talking points.

2. Fox in Jersey
Well, technically it's the NYC broadcast, since that's the news that northern Jersey folks get as their local affiliates. Local Fox News isn't AS slanted, but it's still far more right-leaning than CBS, NBC or ABC local news.

3. Doesn't seem too bad here in MN

But then I have only watched it a few times. I usually watch the NBC affiliate or CNN, if I watch anything. Always better to read the news.

5. Most of the Scripps-Howard owned stations make Fox affiliates
seem almost moderate in their views.

6. Not at first, but now they are DISGUSTINGLY so.
Mid-Michigan here. At first, they were surprisingly neutral, but lately they've begun drinking the Kool-aid, and are now arch-conservative on every issue so I stopped watching.

7. Yes, in Raleigh NC
I don't watch the Fox affiliate very often (actually, I don't watch TV AT ALL very often...my wife and I are working our way through the entire UK Upstairs Downstairs series - hurrah for Netflix!)....I've been unlucky enough to see a few of the highly right-slanted editorials presented by the news director. Disgusting!

8. Absolutely!
But then this a very conservative area. I refuse to watch any of the local news programs.

10. Yup
In the Miami Area channel 7 sure as hell does.

My partner's met a couple of the women--they're nice--but lord almighty the crap that spew forth from them.

If anyone remembers Rick Sanchez (MSNBC idiot)-- he was here in Miami-- they *hated* him (re: Andrew, Elian etc) He came back to the area with his tail between his legs... he's now got some pathetic "talk show" on the local NBC affiliate...Community Access is his next stop.

But we now have another "local" from Fox on MSNBC-- Lori Jennings (the Stepford wife looking one--brunette)

Then there's MSNBC's Terrorism Expert from this area as well...

South Florida has more than terrorists! :)
