If we make a big stink about it we're being just as dumb and low as the freepers attacking F 9/11

What would piss them off even more is if we just sit back and relax and they notice that we're not even scared.

Unless anyone has seen it, don't pass judgement don't rate it. This is what the freepers did and we went after them for it.

To the Editor

I went to see Michael Moore's new movie Fahrenheit 9/11 this weekend along with many other Americans. This movie is everything you have heard - and then some. Sure it makes its case against the Bush Administration's policies effectively and relentlessly. It does take a documented hard look at the Bush family's financial connections with the Bin Laden family. Yes, it is as loud an anti -war statement as any I have seen or heard. It is true that Moore pokes fun at the President for being on vacation for 40 plus percent of his time the first year in office ( as reported by the Washington Post).

But what you may not know and what has been lost in all the hype is that it is also a love letter to the American soldiers who are willing to place themselves in danger to protect our way of living . What Moore is pointing out is that these men and women of the military - many who are from our poorest and most disenfranchised communities - look to the military to better their own lives and protect our. He says loudly and clearly that the very least that they deserve from our government is that we never send them to war and put them in harm's way unless it is absolutely necessary.

This war in Iraq was a war of choice not necessity. Over 850 soldiers have lost their lives - not counting the soldier's who were wounded or the Iraqi's who have been killed and wounded. If you care about the troops you should see this movie.

but, thebigidea, judging a book by it's cover is probably the best way to parade your ignorance.

I'm not suggesting anyone here is actively trying to block the film, but I could probably spend 5 minutes looking through the archive and find at least a dozen posts complaining about Repubs mocking and ignoring F9/11 without bothering to take the time to actually watch it. You're suggesting we mock MMHA in the same way.

Watch the movie before you tear it down.
