As Bush spirals in the Polls will Repugs flee?
Edited on Wed Jun-30-04 11:29 AM by LeftHander
What would be the cost of staying with a sinking ship for future Presidential bids by GOPs...?

Or for simple relection for that matter.

Sticking with Bush in the coming months is going to be a career limiting move for many on the hill.

That is why the Plame Indictments are so critical to come out ASAP.

It will give the GOP plenty of time to rethink what the Bush Administration has done.

Like a cold wet slap in the morning Repugs will wake up and realize

"I got behind a ruthless criminal and supported him."

(on edit - sprials)

1. I don't think they have the sense to flee from the idiot
None of them are willing to admit mistakes.....they are all so self rightous.....you know....they all are so "religous" and have their claims on God,country, and patriotism.... :puke:

3. No, this time they will first try everything to swash the truth ...
...including creating a crisis to stop the November election, then declare martial law and suppress all opposition. This is no longer the GOP of past history. This really is a power machine of the extreme right wing in this country who will stop at nothing to achieve their goals.

4. There will always be that core 20%.
Bush could ravage Mother Theresa and he would still have the rabid core of repubs behind him. Even Millhouse had his 20% in his worst days.

5. No. Maybe a few Non-Propagandized Old School Republicans
They will do the opposite of what a Free People would do (which is recoil in shame). They will stay the course, knowing the Busheviks have already laid the groundwork for Theft of Election.

Also, most Republicans are now Busheviks, with the same Totalitarian Devotion to Party and Fuhrer than the men who Grandpa Prescoitt Bush laundered money for in the 30s and 40s.

And yes, many Repugs will in essence say, "I got behind a ruthless criminal and supported him." Not in so many words, but it will be as it was with Nazis and Hitler, by and large.
