I think Hillary will be the VP nominee...
I really do... It's a hunch I've had for the last couple weeks that I just can't shake. Hey...I predicted that Smarty Jones wouldn't win the Triple Crown, so maybe I'm on a roll. Oh and one more thing... If she is the nominee it will shake the poetical world to it's core. If you like a Rumble in the Jungle, then this will be the biggest of all time!

We already proved with F9/11 that the Repukes are a bunch of week-kneed Candy Asses who's whine is bigger than their bites. We would crush them with this ticket. For those who say that this will unite the Repukes to get out the vote, I say bring it on! They don't have what it takes to beat a united Democratic Party.

Howard Sterns back in my city, F9/11 is breaking records, Plame indictments, etc...etc...etc... I can just imagine peeling back the liner of my Kerry/Clinton bumper sticker and placing it center-fold of my Vans rear window! Yard signs to piss off my Repuke neighbors, T-Shirts, Rallies, Hill kicking Cheney's ass in a debate, SWEET!

3. IMO, it would be a completely STUPID move
Nothing would solidify Bush's base more.

And Bush has been scrambling trying to shore up his base for MONTHS now!

Like it ain't already.... His Base is solid and there ain't nothing that will crack that.... Hillary is hugely popular by the populace of the USA... Period

and all he's been doing is shoring it up ever since his big ad campaign fell on its ear.

40. This would solidify it
I know eight Repugs in my office who were planning on voting Libertarian because Bush is spending too much for their tastes, but they all said that if she's the pick they'll swallow their pride and vote for the Chimpster. A similar effect will take place among those who weren't gung-ho on voting.

I hope to God it isn't her. We'll lose. Please just let him pick Edwards or whoever else (my sleeper pick is Virginia governor Mark Warner) and let's get that psycho out of the White House.

We are already losing several, including Edwards and Graham to retirement. Do you really think that Kerry and the DNC would want to lose yet another Senate slot?

16. Naw...I don't think so...
Kerry will pick someone that he doesn't feel threatened by...that is why Wes Clark would never be the VP nominee. He is too strong in his own right. I would look for him to pick a safe choice that might help him in a certain region of the country. Edwards in the South? Did Edwards really do that good in the South? Didn't Kerry beat him head up in a few states? He might go for a Missouri or a New Mexico person? New Mexico would help with the Hispanic vote. Missoui would help with the Midwest and labor vote...Gephardt or Richardson?

18. Not happening
Kerry is embracing Clinton, but I doubt he wants that cloud over his head. I'm sure he wants to mold his campaign in his own image, not in the Clintons'.

I'm a Clinton fan, but why give the GOP what they want? There is still a lot of baggage associated with the Clinton name.

I'm leaning toward Edwards. Give the GOP some headaches trying to dig up dirt on him. Even Jesse Helms couldn't do it.

Plus, he's optimistic and brings some youthful energy to the ticket. He makes Vice President Fuck look pretty bad. Even worse than he looks now.

I also wouldnt' mind Clark, but I thing S.O.S. would utilize his talents much better.

Clinton (Bill) and Kennedy (Jack) would pick
Edwards. Kerry, who is no Kennedy or Clinton, might just assert his will by picking Richardson. It will help with the Hispanic vote and would add a lot of charm to the ticket. I'm sure Richardson would do well against Cheney, but....the smart choice is still Edwards. IMHO.

23. Richardson is a very good pick
But Edwards is the stealth bomber of VP picks.

The guy has absolutely no baggage.

I think the GOP would go apeshit if it were Edwards, Richardson or Clark. They'll laugh their asses off if it's Gep. And they'll drop to their knees and thank the lord if it's Hillary.

20. I've gotten to the point I don't care. As long as it's not Lieberman or
Vilisak who sounds like a pickle company (not dissing him, just his name on the ticket doesn't work to me because of the "pickle" sound)

Maybe there are a few others that would outrage me but since I can't think of them, then whatever. If it's Hillary then fine. As long as Kerr doesn't mind the "Big Dog" association and the Right Wing frothing at the mouth and the endless media rants about the Cenis disrupting whatever evil deeds that are leaking out about the BFEE. Then bring her own. Let the whole damned political system explode in one huge Media Blowout!

I'm tired of wondering about whom Kerry's going to pick. :nuke:

Not to put down Hillary Clinton -- she is a heck of a person, but I hope Kerry sees that there is enough divisiveness in the country already. Throwing red meat in front of the rabid retrog dogs would not a good move.

:hippie: :hippie:

That continues to be the worst idea EVER. She is one of the most polarizing political figures in the country. Not saying it's justified, but it's a fact.

A cop who works with my wife (who is liberal) told her, "I'd rather have Hitler as President than Hilary!"

She was outraged, and challenged him to explain why he hates her so much, and his response was that she is bad for families.

Yeah, I know, he's a dumbass, but the fact is that a huge portion of the country thinks she is satan.

DU thanks you in advance for your donation. :toast:

And my hunches have been pretty accurate as of late... Except the other night where I thought my wife might give me some... I was dead wrong on that one.

I would love to see this ticket because quite frankly, I love polarization! and Polar Bears, and Polar meltdowns, etc....

35. I love Hillary....
...to pieces, but it's a fact that she would motivate the Republicans like no one else would. I'm afraid when she eventually runs for President, she's going to be villanized as a female Hitler who has made a secret pact with Satan in order to gain the office. She will be chewed up and spit out by the media, and I dread seeing what invented atrocities they will accuse her of. Some more affairs, more attempted murders, for starters....it's sickening.

I love Hillary, and I hate how the media treats her like scum.
