Dean and Nader are going to debate! |
|
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040630/ap_on_el_pr/nader_dean&cid=536&ncid=536Dean, the former Democratic presidential hopeful who attracted legions of liberal followers before his bid fizzled out, will debate Nader for 90 minutes on July 9 before a studio audience. National Public Radio's weekly program "Justice Talking" is sponsoring the debate, and correspondent Margot Adler will moderate.

6. <rant> I hate the fact that so many former Deaniancs |
|
want to vote for Nader now. I was definitely a Deaniac, and the thing I liked about the man was the complete lack of ego. It was about to movement, not about him, and when it was clear that he wasn't going to win the nomination, he graciously stepped behind Kerry to help him win the White House, which was the reason for running in the first place.
I just spoke to one day who was a Dean supporter and now keeps talking about voting Nader. I used to sympathize with Nader voters, but now, I just scratch my head and try to figure them out.
</rant>
But I digress. Anyway, go Dean! I've been waiting months to see him debate again. He really is good at it...

I am glad that he realizes what the most important thing is right now. Get Bush out of the WH.

I agree.
The main difference between Dean and Nader is that Dean genuinely wants what's best for the country and puts the country before himself and any ego/feelings. Nader is unable to do that.

9. That, and the fact that Dean's a Democrat..... |
|
Nader represents a third party...one that's actively harming us. He's not Bush, but he's still the opposition.
