Billboard Altered To Show Bush Quote from F9/11

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A Sacramento billboard drew a lot of attention Tuesday after it was altered to show a quote from President George W. Bush that was included in the controversial new Michael Moore movie.

The billboard near Land Park Drive and Broadway, which was originally for Baskin Robbins, was changed to show a quote from President George W. Bush.

The quote -- "A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it" -- was included in the film "Fahrenheit 9-11."

KCRA 3 contacted Baskin Robbins about the billboard.

A company spokeswoman said the company had been made aware that one of their billboards in Sacramento had been defaced and that they were "taking steps to remove the billboard immediately."

2. Hahaha
That's cool.

Yeah it's vandalism, but the original ad gets a lot more attention as well.

4. would have been better if....
It were described as "subliminable" Hint #9!

Perhaps it would have "resignated" with more people!

www.dubyaspeak.com should be required reading by all those who need a good laugh (though in reality it is not funny to have such an idiot president....)

6. Civil Disobedience at its finest.
When "Bruce Almighty" came out, there were some billboard pranksters defacing ads promoting the film. I wish I could find a photo of one of the defaced billboards - they turned it into an out-and-out slam on Bush.

I love it!

7. Great work, whoever did this..
But it's distressing that the article had to associate Bush's quote with F-9/11. It's a Bush quote, not a Moore quote.

9. I once lived blocks from there
It was a community of government workers. I think the prices have increased so much that it isn't quite true, but Sacramento is still a government town. Makes me enjoy the sign even more.

17. Who ever did that are "terrorists"
Ashcroft will spare no effort to catch them, and process them under the Patriot Act.

18. You damn betcha!
After all, it's not like the Justice Department has anything else to do, now that their two year investigation into busting hookers in New Orleans is over. Besides, them law boys down at Justice start spitballing something fierce when they ain't got nothing else to do. The next thing you know, they start writing legal memoranda justifying ways the U.S. could carry out torture in contravention of treaty law and the Constitution.
