How come the only people suggesting Hillary as VP are Repugs?
Edited on Wed Jun-30-04 06:43 PM by MikeG
(Except trumad)

This story is fishy.

Every RW talk show host is talking about it.

Like they have been given marching orders.

Let's not participate, but focus on how the story came out.

I do not believe the Kerry campaign talks to Drudge.

It was the only thing that could give their base a collective hard-on.

And yes, they do get marching orders:

3. To scare people off of Kerry
By just suggesting that Kerry might pick Hillary (he won't), people will be turned off to Kerry.

4. The RW does this all the time when they want to get their base riled
Their base has been feeling really down lately and there is nothing like a hitlery hate fest to get the blood flowing.

7. because it energies their base
The far right religious nuts go crazy about her. She's a women who wants more then to support her man. Everything they hate. Thats why they love Laura Bush so much. She looks like she's one of the Stepford wives. She gave up her beliefs for her husband's. The perfect puritan woman.

Edwards or Nelson?

I liked Bill, but Hillary sets my teeth on edge. My pick from the cheap seats is Nelson.

18. The Republicans have no accomplishments

to brag about so they create diversions to turn the attention away from Bushes bungling on the Iraq war, creating an enormous fiscal deficit and screwing Senior Citizens on Medicare "reform". The Clintons have always been a lighting rod for criticism and now that Bill Clinton's book is out -- and doing quite well -- the Republicans are spreading disinformation about Hillary. They are saying that Hillary wants to run for president in 2008 so she is working against Kerry behind the scenes so he'll lose the election. This couldn't be farther from the truth. Hillary may or may not be chosen for VP but I seriously doubt it. She has said, repeatedly, that she wants to stay in the Senate. Repugs just want to keep the pot stirred.

In addition they are trying to resurrect all the old sex scandals that Clinton comments about on in his book. He could hardly leave that part out since it was such an important part of the right-wing conspiracy Hillary talked about. They have pulled Paula Jones out from under her rock to challenge Clinton to a "debate." That's really good! Jones really needs to get a life. I expect Genifer Flowers to declare her long-suffering martyrdom soon about how she was the woman he jilted after a 12-year affair--and even file another law suit ala Larry Klayman of Judicial Watch. Hence, the bimbo eruptions. These pathetic woman seem to be dedicated to bringing Bill Clinton down but I don't believe they are doing this on their own. My bet is that the right-wing whackos provided the talking points for Ms. Jones -- maybe even a payoff.

Maybe Bill Clinton will debate Paula Jones -- when hell freezes over.
