Two people came forward on NBC nightly news to declare that they were given jobs and paid a lot, but the jobs did not entail work. This is with respect to Iraq.

Appearently, they are also given other props like staying in 5 star hotels.

3. Pork Barrell projects
so you have a situation where the more workers you have out there, the more tax dollars are being spent.

4. Youre pereaching to the choir..
Remeber the scene from F9/11 where the soldier was paid 2K a month while the Halliburton guy was paid 100K/year in addition to the benefits you mentioned above.....

7. I know somebody who's 30 year old son confirms this
Initially he was in Iraq translating (he is an Iraqi ex patriot) and asked for a transfer due to the violence and a desire to die of natural causes, they sent him to Kuwait - where he sits around watching TV (getting fat- his words). They charge the US Government/Tax Base $200,000 a year for his time, and pay him $125,000 tax free.

He also said half the translators can't translate - they are Moroccan or Tunisian guys who were doing gofer work at $8.00/hr under the table in Dearborn auto body shops before the war, and just make stuff up when the tribal dialects get too tough for them - and then laugh about it when they get back to their billets - "stupid American Lieutenants - believe anything" - It's not that they are malicious, just lazy and greedy.

9. Remember in F911?
The soldier bitching about the Haliburton driver that earns twice what he makes simply for driving the same secured 2 1/2 mile trip back and forth every day?

Ahhh...priorities.

It wouldn't be as big a deal were it not for the fact that the US government indirectly foots the bill.

And they still serve the troops dirty food. :grr:
