AUCTION: 24 Hours, 24 Copies of NY Post, Collector's Edition (VP Gep)

I picked up two dozen copies of today's hilarious NY Post, probably more copies of that rag than I have cumulatively bought in my whole life. Since they are being auctioned off on E-Bay I thought we should auction some off here as a fun Kerry fundraiser.

I am now ready to auction these ridiculous but historical tabloids for KERRY. Copies go to the 24 highest donations to the Kerry/Edwards Campaign posted here over the next 24 hours.

Post your pledge in the subject line, please. (Can anyone help me sort them out?).

I will absorb the cost of the papers ($6 - the Post is just 25 cents, and so not worth it, except today) and the postage, as my donation.

At 9:00 tomorrow evening winners will be announced and asked to PM their addresses for mailing.

This copy of the July 7 ERRONEOUS NY POST was bought from a sidewalk vendor, a sweet guy with a milk crate outside Grand Central, who cackled gleefully when I asked him for 24 COPIES. He counted them out in fours (4=$1) adn then did the math and I walked off with almost his entire stash. This sweet vendor probably had his best day of sales for the season today. Every newstand on the way home was SOLD OUT, about one hour later.

A certain BUSINESS GENTLEMAN who was entering the subway and attempted to buy one of my papers while I was in the middle of the transaction, remarked "too bad he's not going to BE the VP" (by which I think he meant Edwards, but whatever). I told him "that's where you're wrong" before he scooted down the stairs (we are on Park across from Grand Central, near the airport bus). The coward did not reply. NOR did he get one of my papers!

monthly for the full $2000 maximum by October. They automatically deduct $200 out of my checking account each month. If I donate more here, how will this affect my automatic deductions coming out of my account?

Is it possible for me to donate to the DNC instead because of my previous committment? Otherwise I might goof up the donations automatically coming out of my account and cause problems with their pledge program and the paperwork on their end.

I sent an e-mail to the Kerry campaign about the best way to handle this, but I haven't gotten an answer yet.
