Anyone else notice the "strong economy predictions" |
|
being touted on TV and in the papers. I've read several articles lately that say this year will be the best in the last 20. Meanwhile, the markets are tanking, the job picture is bleak, and wages aren't keeping up with price increases. Just who are these "economist" that are making these rosey predidtions?

1. Bush's campaign speech is about the strong economy |
|
and being optimistic. The White House Rove daily memos must be telling mainstream media to talk up the economy to shore up the campaign.

2. they may be on the payroll...actually things are slowing down and |
|
forecasts are for more job losses in the second half.
Polls and forecasts are worthless....energize the base and educate people to computer voting

3. "If you laid all of the economists end to end... |

they wouldn't reach a conclusion." -- George B. Shaw
I'm sure it's been a grand year for the people W & Co. listen to. Helliburton shareholders, voting machine vendors, etc.
Economists are whores. They'll say whatever they're paid to say.
