Unlike when Al tried to pretend he had lightened up, John K looks genuine. He is still a bit stiff and dry, but he is being pretty damned funny, and it is coming across as a real guy, not manufactured by his handlers, as seemed to be Al's biggest problem. And that line about "We got better plans, better policies, better ideas for the future...and better HAIR!" was priceless!!!!!

You don't spend that many years in politics, in the Senate, and maintain jealousy. He's had *years* of having to compromise and work with others in order to accomplish what he needs to accomplish. Jealousy would just hold him back.

I also strongly believe that Kerry (and Edwards) aren't the least bit bothered and upset about supporters and voters who have questions and qualifications about their support for either one of them. Again, they (especially Kerry) have survived years of being questioned by their constituents, and receiving calls and letters from their constituents expressing dismay about their poicies and their stands. To think that they would be in any way upset by some of the questions and issues raised here on DU is to not have much confidence in the candidates.

These are adults. They have most certainly moved beyond jealousy and fear of dissent.

Thank you John Edwards. Finally, my excitement for the ticket I will vote for in November equals my anger and distrust for the ticket I will vote against.

I don't think it is because I am a Southerner that I have, like many, had a little trouble getting excited about Kerry. I've always believed he had the experience and character to be a good president. The charisma and sincerity just were either absent, or not obvious.

There is no way John Edwards can be making up this enthusiasm and genuine fire for our country. I am so inspired!

I had a chance to go this rally, but I'm getting over an illness and didn't want to risk standing in the heat for 4 hours (the email suggested I/we get there at 9:00am, which really means 7:30 to get a decent parking space in downtown Cleveland on a workday). I'm really sorry I missed it, but then it had to go rain. But it didn't seem to damper their spirits!

30. What Great Families - KIDS are awesome!!

I love the whole idea of KERRY/ EDWARDS! Their positive spirit,the way they look together and the spirit of their families reminds me of a lovely summer day.

It was so refreshing to see the range of ages of the combined families. How delightful it will be to see the INTELLIGENT and INVOLVED older children i on our televisions.

How delightful to see two INTELLIGENT wives who have brains that function without the puppet strings. They represent the modern woman,they have a clue(unlike Pickles.)

The Edwards kids are enchanting!

America will fall instantly in love with the KERRY/EDWARDS families.

Bring on the twins.... ha ha ha
