US vs. Saddam

The Little Emperor is always saying that "Iraq is better off without Saddam", but that is not necessarily true.

I will not list all of the various things that might be listed - electricity, food, water, crime, women's equality, etc. These all can be debated and maybe refuted quite well (maybe). But let's just look at Iraq "voting with it's blood".

The Iraqis were always armed under Saddam - but no rebellion.

If the Iraqis are giving the much renowned US military such a hard time, they could have certainly given Saddam's military a hard time - but didn't.

The Iraqis have proven to be a stiff-necked people who fight back when pushed - yet not against Saddam.

What gives? Maybe he wasn't so hated by the average Iraqi as we have been led to believe.
I am not saying he was a "good" guy, I am just saying that this all makes less and less sense as you look further and further into it.

bush kicked saddam's ass but it ain't over until it's over. why won't the US turn saddam over to the iraqi people? because bush is afraid the iraqi people will reinstate saddam as a way to give the US the finger.
